Mudmee Vigar

(MAMI)

The Cooking Queen

Mudmee Vigar, know as “The Cooking Queen” Mami is Miss Thailand Ambassador, the royal family from Lanna Kingdom before “ SIAM” the director and owner of Try my Thai

She is grew up in Thailand and pursued a success career in the food business, fashion, modelling, entertainment, and hospitality.

She migrated to Australia 2010 and has followed her passion for culture and cooking with success. Mami has embraced Australia as her new home as a mother, and a very successful businesswoman who has relocated her business to Northam.

My passion is cooking. I am also passionate about community involvement bringing the communities a “taste” of Thai culture, through cooking and dance. In my time in Port Hedland, I was a mentor to the students at Hedland Senior High School through the EdConnect program, Aboriginal as well as delivering a cooking program for the students involved with the Polly Farmer Foundation.

Success in Port Hedland “Master Chef” 2021

In 2021 Try My Thai was able to bring a “Master Chef” style cooking competition for the many cultural communities of Port Hedland. Twelve teams from across many different ethnic backgrounds took part in the inaugural competition with more than 200 people turning out to watch the event and, of course, sample the end products.

In 2022 I am hoping to build on that success and deliver a similar event as part of the Town of Port Hedland’s food and culture festival in August/September.

Success in Northam

Cooking Masters Western Australia.

Try my Thai proposes an expansive Thai cooking and cultural adventure in Northam. The Northam community and people of Perth will be invited to join and share food, culture and cooking.

Future Projects

I am passionate about trying to deliver a cooking experience program to my local community, possibly even on a weekly basis, dependant on the popularity of the program. Historically, whatever leftover wares from these events I have delivered to community teams, including the local Police, Ambulance and other Government and non-Government agencies as a way to thank them for their work in our community.
